Configure Network
The demo kit includes an LTE/Wi-Fi router that provides:
- Wi-Fi connectivity for the tracelet and your PC
- Internet access for both devices
The router ships with a pre-installed SIM card and broadcasts a Wi-Fi network on the 192.168.55.0/24 subnet.
Turn on the router
The router is powered by the kit's external power bank. Ensure the modem is connected, then enable the power bank. Press and hold the router power button (bottom-right button) for a few seconds.

After booting, the Wi-Fi and cellular LEDs should light up blue.
Connect your PC to the router
- Move the router within the PC's Wi-Fi range.
- Join the
lyveapSSID (the password is printed on the router label). - Mark the connection as a private network in Windows network settings so the tracelet can communicate with the PC.
- Verify internet access by opening a website such as https://www.wikipedia.org/.
Test connectivity to the tracelet
The tracelet is pre-configured with a static IP address and automatically connects to the LTE/Wi-Fi router.
- Connect the tracelet to the power bank and switch it on.
- On your PC, open a terminal and run
ping 192.168.55.2. - Confirm that replies are received from the tracelet.
Warning
The Windows build of io4edge-cli does not yet support mDNS/zero-configuration discovery. Use the tracelet IP address directly; device IDs and the scan command are not available.
