Storage and Transport
Storage
This chapter serves to ensure the safe and proper storage of electronic devices at the customer's premises in order to avoid damage, failures and functional impairments.
General Requirements
- The system and its spare parts must be stored in a dry, dust-free place away from direct sunlight.
- The storage location must be well ventilated, but not drafty.
- The components to be stored must not be exposed to corrosive or contaminating substances.
- The components to be stored must not be exposed to biological hazards.
- The ambient temperature should be in the range of -40 °C to +85 °C, and the relative humidity between 30% and 70%.
-
Strong temperature fluctuations, especially condensation, must be avoided.
-
In the event of visible defects, the responsible contact person must be informed immediately.
Specific Protective Measuressport
-
Devices must be stored in their original packaging or equivalent protective material.
-
No storage near magnetic fields or high-frequency sources (e.g. generators, radio equipment).
- Stacking systems in original packaging no higher than 4 systems on top of each other.
Transport
This chapter describes the requirements for the transport of electronic devices in order to avoid damage caused by climatic, mechanical or chemical influences.
- The transport of systems and spare parts should always be carried out in the original packaging, as this offers the best protection.
- If the original packaging is not available, a comparable transport packaging must be procured. ESD protective packaging is indispensable here.
- The transport must be carried out with low shock and vibration minimized.
- In the case of transports with non-air-conditioned vehicles, it must be ensured that the storage properties of the products are not exceeded.
